About me.
I am a freelance beer writer, beer consultant, homebrewer and perpetual student of flavour, based in Toronto, Canada. I write about beer, fermentation, and food and am the host of The Beer Taster’s Notebook podcast. I am an Advanced Cicerone® and an Associate of the Academy of Cheese, as well as a BJCP judge. As part of my beer journey I have completed Certificates in Beer Quality, Sensory Sciences, and Wine Tasting, as well as a multitude of Specialization courses in Organic Chemistry, Microbiology and Biochemistry. I am a member of the North American Guild of Beer Writers, and GTABrews.
